Its pretty much one year since my last entry (pretty typical of me). Autumn always gets me photographically and mentally in two places at once. The first is a joy and excitement as my desire to get out into "it" is rediscovered and the second is the soul searching bought on by the repetition of each year and the evaluating of what was accomplished. Gear! my enemy and friend. After last years effort, my equipment has has been pretty much completely overhauled (for the better?). Its true that money does not buy happiness, but a lack of it can make you miserable! I think photo gear-or any other tool- is much the same. The photographer makes the photo, but the right/wrong gear does have an effect on the end process. Reminder to self , keep it simple (stupid).
